I too am interested in purchasing the new iQ when it arrives. I bought the first Scion xB in 2004 because it was fun, funky and functional. I hate to depart with it as it has been perfect for transportation. I never owned a car more than 3 years in all my 66 years. The xB caught my eye twice when I was in Japan and after the second time there, Toyota announced the Scion xB would come to the U.S.
Any idea if the Toyota problems of late will delay the September 2010 launch of the new iQ???

What are you talking about -- the show car is WAY too exaggerated and frankly ugly. The original stock version is cute and that's the most this car can hope for. If you want a rice burner with a wing and a giant fart can, get a '92 Civic, and go to work...

Great basic concept, but the show car is turds. Image search and look at it from the side. She's hot to go she's ready.... but she's ugly from the front (Lyle Lovett) -- this one is ugly from the side. The stock car is fine and I will buy it as is and drive it. There is no need to squander any money turning into a rice burner with a giant wing and a huge fart can... pa-lese!

I love the new Scion iQ5. Great body style. Great color. Perfect for driving around town. I hope it comes to California. I would certainly buy this car. Everything about this car is great. I really love the body style. When i look for a car the body style is the first thing i look at. If it doesnt have a good body style i look elsewere. Thank u

It always seems that such a grand idea falls flat in the automobile business because, as in this country ( USA ), money is put before every other concern. Your car is a magnificent testimony to what can be achieved when necessary. I can't WAIT to see this car in person. If it actually looks the way it does in the picture? I have yet to see the actual body style of a concept car come to fruition. It's so sad, so why design body panels that NEVER become reality? OR....is it because big business is trying to wring every cent out of our pockets? With going green and making sensible sized city cars, making them stylish shouldn't cost extra. Factories have to be tooled anyway to produce the car. I'm not against anyone making a fair profit but I doubt that Yours or any other car company wants to have a car that even those who need it most would buy ? A lot of us drivers would love a really hot looking car, but this one is sure to be expensive? Most city workers are work-a-day people like me at average jobs .I drive a 10 year old car and, as much as I like this car, I'd probably not buy it ? You see, to me, all it is, is BASIC transportation to get around in urban areas. All the fluff is just that. So why not have a cool car at the outset, without making all the fluff extra cost more, and at an affordable price? You'd sell tons more! Possibly even to me? Thank you for listening.

    Regards, Chris B.

I am liking this car for tiny parking spaces in San Francisco. My 21 year old Ford Festiva has just about had it. Wish the IQ had a more flexible interior like my car or the Fit though.
